inkheart

One of my favourite books made into film, INKHEART! YEHEY!!! I red the book few years ago and fell in love with the plot and the characters right away. When I learned that the book was made into a film I was so excited and I tried to remember all the small details in the book, hahaha! I finally watched the movie with Jen in Tsuen Wan Plaza's Broadway Cinema last April 19. I am glad that the film was true to the book and even glad that it's Brendan Fraser in the lead role. I can't wait for the Inkspell! I hope there will be Inkspell and Inkdeath! Below is Jen in front of the ticketing office of Broadway Cinema.

dan brown's the lost symbol

Whoa! Another book featuring Robert Langdon will be out come September 15. The Lost Symbol will have a first-run printing of 5 million copies, a modest number considering that The Da Vinci Code has sold 81 million copies in print world wide ( plus 1 by the time I buy my own copy, jeje!). I read all of his books and I can say that Angels and Demons is my favourite among his four books. Well, another book for my most-wanted booklist.

hugh jackman on hollywood walk of fame

April 21, 2009 was the day Hugh Jackman had his own star on Hollywood Walk of Fame next to cinema icons Marilyn Monroe and Humprey Bogart. The 40-year old actor (and my favourite!) left his hands and foot prints in the sidewalk in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.

shopaholic? it's all in the hormones!

While having my routine coffee break late this afternoon I happened to be reading the article of one my faves, Mr. Vittachi of The Standard. Well, he never ceases to amaze me with his extra-ordinary way of writing and this time it's about the relationship between being a shopaholic and the monthly period of women. I can't help but to laugh out loud as always everytime I read his column. To read this very enlightening article please visit HERE!

moymoypalaboy & roadfill

Moymoypalaboy is a comic and singing duo which is known for their uploaded lip-synch videos in YouTube. The duo are the Obeso brothers, James Ronald a.k.a. Moymoy and Rodfil a.k.a. Roadfill. The Obeso brothers won the admirations of the million viewers of YouTube because of their unquestionable talent in lip-synching and song interpretations. Their uploaded videos garnered more than 5 millions hits (and still counting) making them YouTube's: No. 40 - Most Subscribed (All Time) - Comedians and No. 18 - Most Viewed (All Time) - Comedians. Now, the duo are regular talents of GMA Network's award-winning Buble Gang and they do stints for MTV Philippines' Campus Crashers. The fame of the Obeso brothers reached beyond Philippine shore and Filipino people for they won also the hearts of other nationalities like Mexicans and Americans. One of the things that I like about them is that they still inter-act with their fans through internet in their own account in Facebook and Friendster and some other accounts known to internet world, hahaha! Nowadays, they are busy promoting their first album, Uploaded...visiting various places within the country. Just like their millions of fans, I pray that more blessings will come their way and may they continue to give happiness and laughter to us all.

x-men origins: wolverine

Finally! The 20th Century Fox and Marvel will release the movie on May 1st and will be shown few days earlier in the Philippines on April 29. I started to become aware of the X-men when I was a freshman in Fatima College because my BBF Eugene started to borrow original issues of X-men comics from our Psychology professor, Cid Cristobal. They often talked about Marvel and DC comics that time so I eventually started to borrow comics too. Not long after, we grouped ourselves (with the rest of our other classmates/friends) and formed our own X-Men. So we ended up as follows: Sir Cid as Professor Xavier, Eugene as Wolverine, August as Cyclops, Babylyn as Rogue, Jaybee as Storm, Leo as Gambit and me as Jean Grey. You might guess how thrilled I was when X-men was made into 3 movies and now they will be releasing another one soon. I'm sure I'll be watching this one because I love X-Men and Hugh Jackman!

bowling at carribean coast clubhouse

I never tried to play bowling before so I was having second thoughts few days prior to our bowling day. I just made up my mind early that day to join my friends when my sister Ruthie convinced me that I should try some new things and I can definitely post some of our pictures here in my site. Our group headed to Carribean Coast in Tung Chung and had our lunch in Fairwood before our games. I really enjoyed the games although I did not exert much effort because I know I'm out of shape (I don't want to wake up the next day and having sore joints and body) and I only want to spend the day relaxing. I want to thank Pham for reserving the place for our group and Sam for paying the rental of the place, Jan Carl for giving me a basic advice about the right way of holding the bowling ball, Ate Nora for the kakanin, and the rest of the girls (Clarisse, Betchai, Marcia, and Jen) for all the laughter and kulitan. Right after our extended games we went to CityGate to do some window shoppings and to have the birthday celebration of our beloved Sam (sa uulitin ha kahit di mo birthday busugin mo kami, hehehe!). I went home early because I promised the girls that I will upload our pictures right away. So, here are they...
outside Fairwood...busog pa ang mga itsurang yan ha! hahaha!

belated happy birthday to jackie chan

I first saw him in the movie The Drunken Master when i was still in primary school and since then I became one of his fans. Jackie Chan was born in Hong Kong on April 7th, 1954. His parents, Charles and Lee-lee Chan named him Chan Kong-sang which means "born in Hong Kong." I may be a day late in greeting him but it's better late than never, right? I do hope that I will meet him in person!

hong kong disneyland

March 8, 2009 was our HK Disneyland day! It was a fun-filled day...kahit na halos buong araw naming naiisip na sana kasama namin ang mga chikiting ng aming mga buhay (na sa case namin ng sister kong si Ruthie ay ang aming niece na si Althea Nicole). We really enjoyed the day...as in, para ulit kaming mga bata na gustong magpa-picture sa mga andoong Disney characters. Going to HK Disneyland, you can take taxi but i recommend that you take MTR Tsuen Wan Line to Lai King station and interchange for the Tung Chung Line. Alight at Sunny Bay station and take the interchange again for the Disneyland train going to the Disneyland Resort. The park is open from 10:30 am until 8pm.
mabuhay!!!
me with Ruthie and Miaow-chi...este Marie pala! (buti di sila pinagsama ni mickey, jeje!)
group picture with mickey!
share sa float sina snow white, sleeping beauty at cinderella
andaming mga kababayan!
Ruthie, enjoying the parade...hanggang sa gilid lang kami (ariel's float at the back)
mula pagdating sa umaga...souvenirs...
hanggang gabihin sa pamimili ng pasalubong!

ocean park hong kong

One of the popular spots you must go to if you happen to visit Hong Kong. It is located in the Southern part of Hong Kong Island. Transportation going to Ocean Park will never be a problem for you can take taxi or bus from MTR Admiralty Station. Tickets are available at the entrance but if you hate queueing up and rather take pictures while waiting for the park to open then you can buy tickets from travel agencies. For the Filipino tourists I suggest than you can go and buy your tickets in World Wide House located in Central District and maybe you can even avail of discounted tickets. The park is open from 10am until 6pm...tuesday up to sunday and offers loads of fun for all. Here are some fun-filled pictures of us when we went there last 7th of March, 2009.
dapat entrance pa lang bongga na!

staffs of the park are there to help you out especially for group pictures

i'll never blog this way again (kayen.net's theme song)

As I was doing some work last night I suddenly had this inspiration to have a theme song for my site/blog. It's a song popularized by Dionne Warwick and I just changed the lyrics as I went on. Here it goes...

I know I'll never blog this way again
So I keep on blogging on
Before the news is gone
I know I'll never blog this way again
Read on...read on...read on....
